When you choose to climb the ladder, you are making a choice to lead others, to work for their development and achievement.

Rarely are our assumptions about the sustenance of success based upon carefully contemplated conclusions about what we value in ourselves, our lives, in others. So the treadmill becomes preferred for its familiarity, and yet only fleetingly satisfying. 

For many its seems that the more of the team that you lead, the less of a team that you belong to. We can never cease being a follower if we are to remain an effective leader.
